The Health Disparities Committee will begin by collecting resources and information on various health-related issues affecting Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Americans and distributing them via printed and digital materials (promoted through social media). The HDC will also conduct research on regional/national movements such as October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month to formulate campaigns within the UNAVSA channels with the help of health professionals and pre-med/medical students. The HDC will also conduct research on the various laws and policies that are currently active concerning healthcare and provide updates and information on the active policies to keep the community informed.
Vision: To raise awareness on the health issues within the Vietnamese-American community, as well as provide resources to educate members on the various health-related information.
